Our new Operations Manager and Sommelier LeVar Williams was honored at an inaugural event in Houston on March 7th.
Trez Art & Wine Bar hosted a special event to recognize African American Sommeliers in Houston certified by The Court of Master Sommeliers. This inaugural event provided a platform for these unique culinary talents to share their journey.
LeVar R. Williams’ interest in wine began while working his way through a degree in Music Performance from Prairie View A&M University. He became intrigued with the restaurant industry and noticed that there was an art to pairing food with wine. Over the past 15 years, LeVar has been blessed to have a successful career in the food & beverage industry. LeVar has obtained his certified sommelier certification under the Court of Masters Sommelier along with his WSET2 (Wine & Spirit Educational Trust) and CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine) and has had the opportunity to work for some of the finest restaurants in Houston before joining TRIS.
