CollaborEIGHT Dinner Series featured Chef William Wright from Helen Greek Food & Wine on May 20th
Helen Greek Food and Wine’s Executive Chef William Wright has embraced the art of regionality and simplicity into his cuisine. He honed his culinary skills at Michelin-starred restaurants in Sicily and New York. As an anthropology major, he’s always been interested in “why” things were the way they were, which has proven invaluable as he’s worked with distinctive cuisines from Italian to Japanese to Greek. After moving to Houston, he served as sous chef at Philippe Restaurant and then Chef de Cuisine at Table on Post Oak. At Helen Greek Food and Wine, his menu features fresh takes on classic regional Greek dishes, made with locally sourced ingredients. His menu introduces Houstonians to delicious but unfamiliar flavors and modern trends in Greek cuisine while retaining the simple, healthy, fresh style at the heart of Greek cooking.
We were honored to host Chef William Wright and his team at TRIS on a special night, with an eight course dinner experience. The French influenced Greek themed menu featured many special dishes such as Ikura-Salata, Ntomatokeftedes, Anginares A La Polita.
