We hosted a special Collaboration Dinner with Hill Family Estate, featuring winemaker Ryan Hill on September 25th.
After four decades of farming grapes for some of Napa Valley’s finest wine producers, fourth-generation farmer Doug and his family including his son Ryan Hill decided to enter the wine business. Hill Family Estate was born out of the desire for the family to work together – sharing the experience of crafting fine wines that showcased the grapes that Doug farmed and then introducing those wines to the consumer at a tasting room in their hometown, and American foodie capital, Yountville, California. Ryan Hill graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Wine Business Strategies. Prior to becoming involved with Hill Family Estate, Hill worked at Gordon’s, Bouchon, George’s at The Cove and Nine Ten restaurants. His love for food and wine developed in the restaurant business and has carried through to Hill Family Estate. Ryan resides in Yountville with his family, where he continues to grow the business while celebrating his family roots of farming in the Napa Valley.
The Eight Course dinner menu was paired with hand-picked wines by Ryan Hill, including 2015 Carlys Cuvee Chardonnay, 2016 Barrel Blend, 2015 Origin, 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2015 Red Door.
